When Will We Stop This Insanity?

When Will We Stop This Insanity?

In most any town, even small towns, you can find 6 or 7 churches.  They have preachers (?) that they look to as religious leaders.

If you get these preachers together and start asking questions, the 6 or 7 different answers you get will bring one word to mind—insanity!

They all say that they use the same Bible, and that the Bible is inspired of God, but we understand it differently—insanity!  If we understood the Bible, we would come up with God’s answer—the right one!  Then, we would have unity.

Many preachers take things “out of context”.  What does that mean?  It means they don’t “get it” (real meaning)—What the scripture is really saying.

Example:  Have you ever heard someone say “The Bible says ‘Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die'”.  The context is the resurrection!  If there be no resurrection, there is no need to be a Christian.  But Paul says. “There is a resurrection.” (1 Corinthians 15:32).  Read the whole 15th chapter, and you will have the whole picture (context).

Another example:  (Luke 12:16-19).  Verse 19 says.  “Take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”  But, the next verse (v.20) God called that man a “fool”.  Preachers be careful with the “context”!

So far, I think I’ve been pretty easy on preachers that are preaching a “false doctrine”.  Next time I’ll get down to specifics.

By inspiration Paul and others got right to the problem—named names.  So will I unless someone can give me a “scripture” why I shouldn’t.

Thanks for reading and God bless!
